Terms of service

These terms are a contract between you and LIZZIT Michele, P.IVA: 02996460305 (“GoParse”, “we” — GoParse is a brand of LIZZIT Michele). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. The service is intended for business use; you confirm you are acting in the course of a trade, business or profession.

1. The service

GoParse provides an API that extracts structured person data from photos of identity documents (passports, identity cards and driving licences), together with a web dashboard for managing API keys, monitoring usage and administering your subscription. Extracted fields are validated where possible (including ICAO 9303 MRZ check digits), and the API deliberately returns an empty field rather than a guessed value when it is not confident. Document contents are processed in memory and never stored; see the privacy policy and the data processing agreement.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date. You are responsible for everything done through your account and your API keys: keep keys confidential, do not embed them in client-side code, and revoke any key you suspect has been exposed. We may suspend accounts that endanger the service or other customers, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

3. Acceptable use

Identity documents are sensitive by nature, so this section matters more than most. You warrant that you have a lawful basis under the GDPR — or equivalent applicable law — for every document you process through the API, and that the document holders have been informed as the law requires. You act as the data controller for all document contents you submit; we act only as your processor.

You must not use the service to:

• process documents of persons without the authority or lawful basis to do so, including documents obtained from leaks, scraping or purchase;
• conduct unlawful surveillance, tracking or profiling of individuals;
• discriminate against individuals on the basis of data extracted from their documents in ways prohibited by law;
• resell, sublicense or proxy raw access to the API to third parties (integrating the API into your own product is fine; reselling GoParse itself is not);
• attempt to breach, probe or overload the service, or circumvent quotas and concurrency limits.

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of this section with immediate effect.

4. Plans, billing and quotas

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider, Stripe. Each plan includes a monthly quota of parses (one parse = one image processed). Unused quota does not roll over. When a quota is exhausted, further API requests are rejected until the next billing period or an upgrade. The current plans are:

Current pricing is published on the pricing page; price changes never apply retroactively to a running billing period, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change affects you. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. The Enterprise plan is pay-as-you-go, agreed in a separate written agreement, and is not governed by the self-serve billing terms above.

5. Free trial

The Free Trial includes 25 successful parses in total, at no cost and with no credit card required. The trial budget is a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one; when it is used up, an upgrade to a paid plan is required to continue. Trial accounts are subject to these terms in full, including the acceptable use rules. One trial per organisation, please.

6. Availability and service quality

The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free results, and no service level agreement applies unless one is agreed in writing as part of an enterprise agreement.

Parsing is synchronous and typically completes within 2 seconds per request. Requests are limited to 8 images of up to 15 MB each, with 2 concurrent requests per account. Design your integration for asynchronous handling rather than blocking a user-facing request on the response.

Extraction output is machine-generated. The API prefers returning an empty field to guessing, but you remain responsible for verifying results before relying on them for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

7. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the service, its software, documentation and branding. You retain all rights in the images you submit and the data extracted from them; we claim no license to them beyond the transient processing needed to return your API response. Feedback you choose to give us may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

8. Data protection

Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy. For document contents processed through the API, the data processing agreement forms part of these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health, or under mandatory statutory law. Otherwise, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the dashboard settings. We may terminate with 30 days' notice, or immediately for material breach (in particular of section 3) or where required by law. On termination, your API keys stop working and account data is deleted in line with the retention periods in the privacy policy. Document contents require no deletion step — they were never stored.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is Udine, where permissible.

12. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms with at least 30 days' notice by email or in the dashboard. If you do not agree to a change, you may terminate before it takes effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The current version is always published on this page.
